Baileys Insurance Brokers Ltd was first established in April 1986.  Since then, the company has grown to be a well respected and client orientated insurance broking organization.  Our reputation has been hard earned and is jealously guarded.  Baileys look after the insurance needs of over 1,500 clients and specialize in pleasure craft insurance.

As your insurance brokers, our aim is to provide an insurance service that will exceed your expectations and contribute to your long term financial stability.

            Real People

You won’t find any “push button “X” for service” phone systems in this office!  This is a people business, with real people helping you with your individual requirements -

Neil Bailey - company founder and managing director, has insurance experience spanning more than 19 years.  Neil is an Associate Fellow of the Independent Insurance Brokers Association Inc, and a Senior Associate of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.  Baileys are an active participant in the new “QPIB” programme, which fosters continuing education standards for members of IIBA, and Neil is now a “Qualified Practicing Insurance Broker”.

Barbara Bailey - has been in the insurance industry for more than 25 years, and has a wealth of knowledge from both an Insurer and Broker perspective.  Her experience is of particular value as a director of the company.

Peter McEvoy - has had 18 valuable years experience with major NZ Insurers, dealing with both brokers and direct clients, before joining Baileys.  Peter specializes in commercial and liability insurance covers, with extensive knowledge in these areas.  Peter is a Senior Associate of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.

Barb Smith - joined the company in September 2001, after time away from the work force to start a family.  Her 2 daughters are now aged 8 and 12.  She has extensive insurance experience, and her attention to detail and helpfulness are an asset to you as a client.

Susan Master - joined us in May 2002 after working at NZI for 5 years dealing with both brokers and clients.  Her knowledge of claims and how insurance companies operate is of real value, particularly because she ensures your claims are followed up on a regular basis.

Real Service

Our loyalties are to our clients.  Your insurance needs are presented to Insurers in a manner designed to obtain the most favorable result - whether it be a premium rate, excess, or claim settlement.  Your claims in particular receive close attention, as this is where your insurance policy needs to perform.  Claims are monitored regularly, and you are kept informed of progress at every stage.  In addition, your insurance covers are reviewed at least annually, and premium / excess terms are checked to ensure that the most competitive package is being offered.

You will be kept informed on a regular basis with our newsletter issued every 4 months.

            Real Value

Great emphasis is placed on offering you value for money.  We will not, and can not always offer the “cheapest” premium, but will always strive to offer you the most comprehensive overall package, backed up by added value services and products.  Your costs will be reduced in many ways, whether it be the ease of doing business with us and the time saved as a result, or our total reliability in attending to your insurance requirements, helping you to get on with your own business.

IIBA Membership

For your protection, Baileys are full members of “IIBA”, the Independent Insurance Brokers Association Of NZ Inc.  This means that strict ethical guidelines and procedures are adhered to, including inspection of client premium accounts on a regular basis.  Of particular importance from your point of view is that “professional indemnity” insurance cover of not less than $1,000,000 must be in force at all times.  This protects you for any financial loss as a result of an error or omission on our part.  Not all Insurance Brokers/Agents or Banks offer this protection.
